Making A Difference

BSU Missions Newsworthy

During Hurricane Ivan, a tree crashed through the roof of Ms. Zenora Galloway’s home in Townville, SC, where she is raising her two grandchildren. United Methodist emergency response teams removed the tree and installed temporary tarps. This Advent, you are invited to financially support Emmanuel’s Hammer in providing the rest of the repairs that Ms. Galloway’s family needs to return home.

This Advent season, Buncombe Street UMC will support regional and local hurricane relief efforts, as well as fundraise for our congregation’s mission work in 2018. We will divide Advent financial gifts among Emmanuel’s Hammer, the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), and BSUMC’s Missions and Outreach Commission (MOC), that we might serve “the least of these” in Greenville and throughout our world.

As Christians, we are obligated to serve our brothers and sisters in need. Please prayerfully consider contributing to this special Advent offering. Please note, if donating by check, you are asked to write “MOC/Advent” on the memo line. There are special Advent offering envelopes in the church pews. You may also make a donation through the church’s website.
